Nepal opens is the gate for tourism in 1950’s so from there occurred the visit Nepal 1998 and Nepal tourism year 2011. However now Nepal government along with the ministry of culture, tourism and civil aviation (MoCTCA) again made a plan to organize “visit Nepal year 2020” to set a target to bring in two million tourists in the year and attract more tourist to the country. This planning is made during the recovering process of the devastating earthquake of 2015. It will be great if this campaign becomes successful and makes the tourism in Nepal could play a vital role towards the Nepal and locals.

Amis and objective of Visit Nepal 2020:

Visit Nepal 2020 aims to provide the much-needed boost to revitalize the tourism industry of Nepal and to expand and extend tourism service and product into new. This campaign is made to improve the livelihood of the people across the country by developing tourism infrastructure, increasing tourism activities and products and also to enhance the women and other communities, spreading the benefits of tourism to the grass level. This program is also there to attract new investment in creating new tourism facilities, product and services.

As Nepal is being the tourism country so tourism valued as the major contributor to a sustainable Nepal economy, have been developing as an attractive, safe, exciting and unique destination through conservation, preservation and promotion. The main goals of Visit Nepal Year 2020

• To publicize, promote and enhance the image of Nepal in international tourism source market.

• Increase annual international tourist arrivals to Nepal to two million by 2020.
• Augment economic opportunities and increase employment in the tourism sector to one million.
