Before we start on our vacation, we'll take some time to unwind and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Pokhara's serene and peaceful setting is ideal for performing yoga early in the morning, and it will help us prepare for our yoga journey.
2. Sunrise at Poon Hill, Ghorepani
As we depart Pokhara, we travel to the lovely village of Ghorepani. The iconic Poon Hill, where trekkers gather before morning to catch a beautiful sunrise across the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, is the core of this trip. Consider doing yoga in this breathtaking setting, as the first rays of sunrise illuminate the snow-capped peaks and the environment comes alive with the colors of gold.
3. Ghandruk Village
We'll pass through the gorgeous countryside and come upon the charming settlement of Ghandruk. This traditional Gurung community provides an insight into the rich local culture as well as a friendly welcome. Yoga here will fill your heart with joy and a sense of connection to the local way of life, surrounded by terraced fields and historic houses.
4. Tadapani
On our trip to Tadapani, we continue our journey through rich rhododendron trees. This lovely settlement provides breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). We'll practice yoga in the peaceful atmosphere of the forest, allowing the natural beauty to promote our inner harmony and peace.
5. Chhomrong: Gateway to the Annapurna Base Camp.
As we get closer to the Annapurna Sanctuary, we pass through Chhomrong, a lovely town set on a peak. We get our first look at the magnificent Annapurna South from here. Yoga in Chhomrong allows us to reflect on our journey thus far and prepare for the ultimate objective - Annapurna Base Camp.
6. Annapurna Base Camp: A Spiritual Shelter
Our yoga journey concludes with our arrival at Annapurna Base Camp. We'll practice yoga in this spiritual sanctuary, surrounded by a natural stadium of rising mountains. The serenity of the base camp is ideal for meditation and self-discovery as we soak in the profound energy flowing from the Himalayan peaks.
7. Jhinu Danda: A Relaxing Hot Spring Experience
Here, We'll unwind in natural hot springs. Yoga at Jhinu Danda allows us to shed any leftover tensions and enjoy nature's healing power.
8. Dhampus Village
Dhampus, located on a hilltop, offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountains. Doing yoga under the backdrop of these magnificent peaks will fill you with delight and praise.
9. Khayar Bara Lake
Yoga in Khayar Bara Lake is a pleasant experience. The lake, surrounded by gorgeous mountains, provides a quiet atmosphere for peaceful yoga practice. We sense a deep connection to nature with each breath, discovering inner calm and harmony. It's a lovely moment when the beauty of the lake and the mountains heal our souls, leaving us refreshed
