Bumthar cultural Trekking is one of the most popular trekking in Bhutan. It is considered to be moderate as it has an altitude of up to 3,600m.
It is one of the most accessible treks with the start and end in Paro. Trekkers will be able to get a glimpse of the Bumthang festival, one of the major festivals in Bhutan. The trek offers a unique cultural and religious experience of Bhutan.
One of the highlights of the Bumthang trekking is a visit to Thakstang Monastery in Thimpu and a visit to Wangduephodrang to see the artistic excellence of craftsmanship of the Bhutanese people.
Our trek takes us through four high valleys crossing over Dochu La & Chelila Passes, two of the highest passes in Bhutan. We will also visit Chortens and traditional markets and explore sites where Padmasambhava, the great Buddhist master, meditated. This trek is suitable from October to May.
