To access this trek you will a have short beautiful flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport which takes 35 minutes. Generally, Lukla airport is considered an adventure airport in the world. Lukla offers a fresh Himalayan environment, green rolling hills, and a distant view of Mt. Everest. The
airport is located in the Lukla Valley at the lap of the mountain. And from Lukla, your trek starts.
Everest Base camp trek there are several itineraries but we provide the package for 10 to 18 days including the acclimatization days. We never try to escape acclimatization. The duration also depends upon the quality of a persons walk. If some of them walk faster then he/she could easily end/their journey in 11 days. We also would like to recommend you have some spare days if you are making your trip to the Everest region because normally Lukla flights get delayed due to unconditional weather.
Everest trek you pass through several destinations with several heights. EBC trek occupies heights from 1400 to 5545m. The starting point of your trek is Lukla which is at a height of 2860m, Namche at 3440m, Lobuche at 4920m, and Everest best camp at 5364m. The highest height of this trek is Kalapathar stands at an altitude of 5545m. Acclimatization is very necessary during the Everest Base Camp trek because as we go faster to the higher elevation, there will be chances of getting altitude sickness.
First and foremost for this trek, you require trekking clothes which is one of the significant things to know before starting the trip to Everest Base Camp. The clothing depends on the weather conditions. Clothes like a down jacket, a pair of jumpers, an inner thermal coat, warm gloves, socks, sunglasses, a cap, a pair of hiking or trekking boots, slippers, sunblock cream, etc should be packed. The weather in the daytime is normally sunny and warm and in the evening, night, and morning the weather is cold. So, I would like to recommend you bring a personal sleeping bag if you have one. For this trek, more prevention is needed.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK?
The best time to hike to Everest Base Camp is during the spring and autumn seasons, which are from March to May and September to November, respectively. During these times, the weather is generally clear and dry, with mild temperatures and less chance of precipitation. The visibility is also better, offering stunning views of the Himalayan mountains.

WHAT KIND OF FOOD DID SRE OFFER DURING THE TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP?
Dal Bhat: a traditional Nepali meal consisting of rice, lentil soup, and vegetable curry
Noodles: stir-fried noodles with vegetables, egg, and/or meat
Pizza: a Western dish with a Nepali twist, often made with local cheese and vegetables
In addition to these dishes, you can also find a range of snacks and beverages, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, beer, and even some local wines. It is important to note that the availability and variety of food options may vary depending on the location and altitude of the tea house, and it is recommended to bring some high-energy snacks and water purification tablets or a water filter for the trek.
What should I pack for my trek to Everest Base Camp? Does Kathmandu offer equipment rentals?
Trekking boots: sturdy, waterproof boots with good ankle support
Clothing: warm layers, including a fleece jacket, down jacket, thermal underwear, hiking pants, and waterproof jacket and pants
Sleeping bag: a warm sleeping bag rated to at least -10°C (14°F)
First aid kit: including altitude sickness medication, bandages, and antiseptic cream
Snacks: high-energy snacks such as nuts, trail mix, and energy bars
It is also recommended to pack light and bring only essential items, as you will need to carry your backpack for much of the trek.
