Khayer Barah Lake Trek is one of the interesting trekking paths which are also known as Khayer Barah Lake Trek and Kopra Ridge Trek lies in the area of
Annapurna sanctuary The place is one of the least explored and incredible trekking destinations of Nepal. Khayer Barah trek is the shortest trek but it can be lengthened by adding Khayer Barah Lake, located at an altitude of 4,660m. Khayer Trek is a beautiful destination that attracts both nature lovers and adventure seekers.
WHAT CAN WE SEE?
The trekking paths to Khayer Barah lead through dense and lush green forests where you observe most of the forests are covered by pine, oak, and rhododendron. In the meantime, you can observe the high Himalayan panoramas from various angles. You can also see there the green terraced farming lands play a vital role in decorating the trail. In the village, you will see especially the Magar and the Gurung community. You will see Khayer Barah Lake. In addition to the lake; you will get to visit the Khayer Barah temple. The highest point of this trekking is Kopra Ridge at 3660m. The mountain ranges visible from Khopra Ridge include Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Mt. Fishtail, and Himchuli among others.
HOW’S ACCOMMODATION KHAYER BARAH LAKE TREK?
During the Barah Lake trek, you will find tea houses for some days and after that, you need to prefer spending the remaining days in community lodges. During your stay in community lodges, you get the chance to explore the exotic lifestyle and culture of the locals. If you add Khayer Lake to your journey then it will be more challenging because after you cross Kopra Dhanda there is a lack of lodging facilities. So, you have to manage with a full camping system.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Firstly upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will have a splendid sightseeing tour around Kathmandu city( Boudhanath, Swayambunath ( monkey temple), Pashupatinath) and on the next day you will have a short flight 30 minutes from Kathmandu to Pokhara or either you will have 7 hours taking land service( tourist bus) to Pokhara. Then on your arrival to Pokhara, a sightseeing program around Pokhara city is there and on the next day, you will have a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul via
Ghorepani or Ghandruk.
